DAVID Moyes says he remains ‘hopeful’ that he can lure Burnley striker Danny Ings to Real Sociedad this summer.
Ings flew to Spain in February for talks with Sociedad as he plans his future, with his Burnley contract expiring at the end of June.
The forward is also attracting interest from the likes of Liverpool and Manchester United, while Clarets boss Sean Dyche says he thinks Ings should stay in the Premier League if he departs Turf Moor.
But Moyes has not given up the chase.
Asked about the prospects of signing Ings, Moyes told the Spanish press: “I’m hopeful.
“I’d like to sign new players in order to make the team more competitive nearer to the top of the table.”
