A beauty pageant is coming to East Lancashire in June and applications are still open for young women to apply.

In the competition, ladies from across Lancashire will battle it out for the Miss Great Britain Lancashire 2024 title.

The heat welcomes women from all backgrounds, with no restrictions on marital or parental status.

A spokesperson for miss Lancashire said: “Our goals are to empower young women and help them to become the best and most confident version of themselves.

"We all have busy lives, and often we don't take enough time to do something that is solely for us.

"We hope you see that Miss and Ms Lancashire are an opportunity to grow and learn more about yourself, while meeting other likeminded women and having the most glamorous evening ever."

This year's Miss Lancashire will be sponsored by Sarah Layton jewellers in Whalley, BMW Bowker in Blackburn, Lifestyle Ribble Valley, and Neal & Wolf as the official glam team alongside Robert’s-Steel Hair Dressers for 2024.

Miss Lancashire will also be raising money and awareness for A-Sisterhood charity by asking that all guests bring a new or lightly used bra to the event to donate.

Annually, Miss Lancashire donates bras to the Scottish charity Smalls For All which gifts underwear to women and girls in need across the world.

A-Sisterhood is a UK-based organisation that seeks to empower, support and protect women worldwide.

Annually, this charity supports a series of international causes and charities which are focused on helping women in need.

The purpose is to 'empower, support and protect the female the world'.

The event will be held at the Lakeside Suite at The Crow Wood Hotel and Spa in Burnley on June 21.

The evening will consist of a two course meal, a live charity auction and the crowning of Miss and Ms Lancashire 2024 queens.

Entry requirements and tickets for Miss and Ms Lancashire can be found on their Instagram.
