DETECTIVES investigating a case of sexual touching have charged a man.
Police officers were called after a woman reported being sexually assaulted on Newchurch Road in Stacksteads at around 12.15am on Saturday morning.
At the time a spokesman said the man initially spoke to the complainant, who is in her 30s, before touching her inappropriately.
As she began to walk away she said he grabbed her, touching her inappropriately for a second time.
At the time of issuing a CCTV appeal, Det Sgt Ashley Johnston said: “The victim has been left extremely shaken by this incident.”
Police have now confirmed Brooklyn Cross, of Bank Parade in Burnley has been charged with sexual assault. The 20-year-old was due to appear at Blackburn Magistrates Court this Morning.
