SHAFIQ Ahmed, 42, of Holmby Street, Burnley, was fined £600 with £150 court costs, £75 compensation and £60 surcharge after he was convicted in his absence by Pennine magistrates of failing to act on an abatement notice served by the borough council over his rubbish-filled yard.
